Values & Accessibility
As a small business owner, I am committed to being the change I want to see within the wellness industry.
My professional vision is one in which:
Integrative healthcare services (such as orthopedic bodywork, functional fitness training, and health & wellness coaching) are financially accessible to as many as possible.
As many as possible feel welcome and valued by my business, including:
Black, indigenous, and people of color;
People of varying sexual orientation;
People of varying gender expression;
People with disabilities;
People of varying body size/shape;
People of varying ages;
People of varying athletic ability.
I offer a limited number of sliding-scale bodywork and fitness training sessions, for low income or resource-challenged BIPOC, trans/gender-non-conforming, and disabled clients. Please inquire for details.
(My coaching sessions are offered to all on a sliding scale.)
Anti-Racism Pledge
I have taken Rachel Rodgers’/Hello Seven’s Anti-Racist Small Business Pledge:
I commit to examining the role that white supremacy has played/does play in my business practices.
I commit to engaging in anti-racist education for myself.
I commit to allowing open conflict and discomfort with colleagues.*
I commit to investing a portion of my monthly business budget to the Black community. To facilitate this, I offer sliding scale rates to Black, indigenous and people of color impacted by systemic oppression.
I have made a long term commitment to being an anti-racist organization.
*I have modified this statement, which was written for business owners with employees.
